Beach

Ranawara boasts 400 meters of beach front, directly accessible from the property. A morning stroll along the beach will bring you to where the local fishermen land their catch of the day. Equally, you can enjoy a leisurely walk in the evenings as you watch the sun set.  We’ve also arranged a few sun loungers on the beach if you would like to soak in the sun as the waves serenade you.

Gardens

The gardens of Ranawara are populated by hundreds of tropical plants and trees that showcase the indigenous flora. Wild tamarind, wood apple, dragon fruit, papaya, mango, cinnamon, carandas plum, lime, stone apple, and jack fruit are some of the fruits that are grown in the gardens along with large quantity of coconuts that are harvested for our daily meals. Delicious fruit juices therefore come in many shapes and sizes.

A variety of flowering plants add a dash of colour to the abundance of greenery including the Ranawara flower from which the property derives its name.

Wildlife

Located beside the Kalamatiya Bird Sanctuary, Ranawara is home to a profusion of tropical and migratory birds. Wild peacock, peahen, and guinea fowl roam the property and monkeys can be spotted in the trees.
